Ficdown - Writing interactive fiction in Markdown

The paragraph-driven solo games never was very common. Lot of work to design and can be very time-consuming to play. It is quite an experience to play though and not really something I have seen duplicated elsewhere. In digital games of course, but there is something special about seeing all the parts moving like operating a cardboard computer to see what happens next.

It is still something I have in mind when I experiment with my little tools for choice-based i-f. I want to be able to also support paragraph-driven boardgames if I ever decide to make one. Just something I keep in mind that sometimes influences how I design something, but usually not a big deal as there is no fundamental differences between a regular gamebook and a paragraph booklet for a game like Ambush!.
