Huh? The code in his previous post already does that though?

No, the code created a thing, with understand rules for referring to the thing (like you could have an object called the hook and understand “peg” as the hook).

The others are referring to creating an understand token, which creates [bracketed substitutions] rather than an in-game object.

I can only conclude that you and I are not looking at the same code. It created a thing, yes… and then it proceeded to ignore that thing and create an Understand token and use that instead of the thing. I am referring to the post directly prior to my original response.

Oops, my mistake. I missed that it used brackets in the understand statement. Serves me right for not reading the entire code snippet before commenting…

I was responding to the code in the post right above that one, where the thing is used.
