Can't crack this small game

I feel like there’s something lurking in this weird parser game:

At the outset, it looks like it might go somewhere, but I very quickly found myself stuck. I’m trying to figure out if there is some way to crack this game, or if it’s a dud/trolling/etc. (It is marked a prototype on itch.io.)

On a different but related note, I did discover this game recently:

It has a similar outset in that the parser appears indecipherable, but if you can guess the correct commands, it follows up with a spooky surprise. It lead me to believe that “gray water” may possibly contain a similar twist. (Though this one is cooler - granted it’s just as bizarre and confusing.)
